Unitel tests 5G at the highest speed

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Star Telecom Company (Unitel) has officially conducted a 5G test with a maximum speed of 1.7 Gbps, and is capable of reaching the highest speed of 2.5Gbps when combined with 4G (using the dual connection feature to help transmit data simultaneously on both 5G and 4G to the terminal).

The test was held recently in Vientiane during the 19th ASEAN ICT Ministers Meeting (TELMIN) and the 10th anniversary of the launch of the Unitel brand.
